The Maine Monitor, with support from Maine newspaper and academic partners, hosted free screenings of the documentary Stripped for Parts: American Journalism on the Brink in Waterville, Ellsworth, and Biddeford this week.

Two-time Academy Award-nominated film director Rick Goldsmith has completed his trilogy on the American press with his latest film, the explosive exposé Stripped for Parts: American Journalism on the Brink.

The director discusses the unfolding crisis for democracy as hedge funds buy news outlets with little regard for the reporting they produce.
