Julie Reynolds is one of the key participants in the film and an investigative reporter who uncovered how Alden Global Capital is stripping local news for parts. She went on to found Voices of Monterey Bay, a nonprofit bilingual news magazine serving Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. Their mission is to provide a space for people who have been ignored by the traditional media to express themselves or to report news from their neighborhoods.
